Selamat Hari Raya!

Finally after a month of hungry days(the ramadan month-puasa la), the Malays celebrate one of the most important celebration of the year, Hari Raya.During Raya, there is not much of the mat rempits on the road which are more safety. Even the populated areas are quite empty now. Many people would balik kampung just to celebrate Hari Raya with their family.

For me, one of the most important factor of Hari Raya is about the foods. Yes, many generous Malays put up huge open house parties. All the redangs, ketupat, curry...wooohoo.

Another important component of Hari Raya is about the che pow(Green packet). Same as Chinese New Year, the host of the house gives che pow during Hari Raya, they called it duit raya. To me, the meaning is the same as ang pow. Hmm, today's the second day of Raya, i should be out asking for duit raya. lol~it's not too late thou.
